With UEFA "Super League" discussions becoming more and more serious, FIFA have struck back by threatening World Cup bans for players who join a breakaway league. ESPN FC's Alejandro Moreno and Julien Laurens react by debating which competition would be more beneficial for players in the long run. Moreno calls FIFA's statement a "power play" and Laurens feels UEFA can beef up the current format of the UEFA Champions League instead of creating a new standalone competition.
